TAL Technologies has been providing software solutions for 15 years. We specialize in software for interfacing laboratory instruments and measuring devices to Windows applications. We also publish software for bar code applications, TCP/IP communications, other data collection applications and programmer's tools.

We are located in a pleasant area of Philadelphia near the Art Museum and close to Routes 76 and 676. If you are creative, committed, hard working and bright our small team would be a good place for you.

We are currently hiring (Dec 2006) for the following position:

Customer Service Representative with strong computer skills.
Either Full-time or Part-time (5 to 8 hours per day).

Customer Service Representative is expected to handle incoming sales calls and assist customers. Duties will include:

  • Filling orders for our software products, entering orders into our accounting software and organizing the shipping.
  • Answering sales and customer service questions about our software products by phone and email.
  • Providing basic technical support for our Windows based software products.
  • Typing in sales leads from calls and downloading sales leads from our web site. Printing mailing labels and organizing the mailing of sales literature.

Candidates must have excellent computer skills and be well versed with MS Office applications including Word and Excel (also Access would be good). The ability to easily learn and understand all types of software is necessary, including accounting software and the software products that we sell. The candidate should also be able to provide basic technical support for our Windows based software products. A background in computers or engineering would be extremely helpful.

You may also be asked to help represent the company at an industry trade show once or twice a year.

Requirements:

  • College Degree required (students welcome for part-time position).

  • Excellent computer skills especially with MS Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills (and clear pronunciation).
  • Organized, hard working, efficient, intelligent and punctual with a positive attitude.

A personal commitment to providing the highest level of service to our customers is expected. Interpersonal skills and problem solving capabilities are also needed. A 4-year college degree is preferred for a full time position. A student working towards a degree would be acceptable for a part-time position. We would also prefer a candidate with extremely strong computer skills especially trouble-shooting skills and some programming.
